I wish I could remember what they are called. I used them to clean other patients teeth when I worked in an office, so you might want to ask your dentist or the assistant. That is a very good question and it's important that you do clean them. I've seen patients that are older who never took care of them and they had to be pulled out. But, flossing is the way to go! If a patient has a bridge kinda cap, they also make this plastic threading 'needle' that helps clean underneath, too. Those are very helpful. Maybe check! your local drug store, they might sell it, too!...
