Bianca Lannier: It depends on your usage. Prepaids are $0.10 to $0.30 per minute, but when you're out of minutes the phone doesn't allow you to "go over". With a contract, you get better rates for the minutes, but you never know when the minutes are gone (unless you regularly check your balance). At, 12 your best option is probably going to be to get added to an existing plan that your parents are on. Most companies offer a "family plan" where additional phones can be added for a fee of $10 a month. The second phone shares the existing pool of minutes. You will have to all agree on how many of those minutes you can use per month, and then stick to it. An added benefit to the family plan (in most cases) is calls from one phone to another on that plan are "free mobile to mobile" calls that don't use up minutes. You'd get from 33 to 100 minutes a month with a prepaid plan if you're spending $10 a month. For that same $10 a month, you might be able! to negotiate 150 minutes (plus the free mobile to mobile) with a family share plan.Again, it is very important to stay within the minutes that are allowed, or you can run up a huge bill. If you have difficulty staying within established limits, then the prepiad is definitely the way to go. It costs more per minute, but it will help you learn how to manage yoyr cell usage....Show more
Tommy Durrenberger: get a prepaid phone.it'll cost cheaper
Enriqueta Steffen: Try AT&T GoPhone - $20 unlimited texting. You can buy the 100 minutes separately at their regular prices. The total price per month may get close to $50. Straight Talk has a fully unlimited plan for $45 a month.
Catheryn Small: pay as you go would be the cheapest, i guess. cause you can control how much you pay, it's not monthly. so if you're running low on cash, just don't use it. i think t-mobile has it, maybe virgin and maybe verizon?
Ulysses Failey: Jai swami narayan according to me noki! a company provide good cell phone and vodafone ,hutchand BSNl ! provide cheapst plans have a nice day
Kim Gerbino: I tried the prepay thing and got ROYALLY screwed...I am now with Verizon and it works better than any other in the area in which I live. At least you have some idea how much it's gonna cost every month; monitor your minutes and downloads and upgrade if needed.
Jimmie Doerfler: prepaid is the way to go, you pay as you go, try t-mobile or virgin
