Filiberto Ranalli: If the dent is larger than 3 inches in diameter, or depressed more than 1/4" it is definitely beyond the skill range of an inexperienced DIY repair. There's also this technique, involving a hair dryer and a can of compressed air but I haven't tried it. I've pulled many a dent out with the good ole' plunger, though and buy a paint the same color with my car and do the paint job but it is best to send it to your local auto repair shop to see the damaged part and what are the things need to be done....Show more
Colby Millberg: can fill in the crack with a plastic filler then paint over using matching auto touch up paint.
